How to unlock a PDF (if you know the password)
A password-protected PDF is a nuisance when you own the file and know the password: every open asks for it, some tools refuse it, and you cannot merge or edit it. This tool removes the password from a PDF you own, so you get back a normal, unprotected PDF that opens anywhere without asking.
Drop the protected PDF and type its password. The tool opens the document with your password, then rebuilds it as a fresh PDF without any password. That is the whole job. It only works if you know the password — there is no way to recover a forgotten password, and this tool does not try. If you type the wrong password, it will say so; it never guesses.
One honest limitation: the rebuilt PDF is made from page images, so the text in the output can no longer be selected or searched. For a document you need to read, print, or merge, that does not matter; for a document you still need to search, keep the protected original as your searchable copy. The pages are rendered at high resolution, so printed text stays sharp.
Everything runs in your browser. That matters more here than anywhere else: a password-protected document is protected for a reason, and uploading it to a random server to unlock it would defeat the point. Here the password and the file never leave your device — the password is used only in your browser tab to open the file, and it is forgotten the moment you close the tab. Never enter a password on a site that uploads the file to a server.
